The wonders of nature: Rats that grow to be as large as cats

These were found in an abandoned house in UK last year. Suspect they got this big by eating other rats.

I've had a pack rat haul off a crescent wrench for no other reason than it was shiny.

It may not be what they call them in the U.K., but those are nutria (or at least a close relative of nutria) The orange teeth and slightly webbed feet are the give away
