How about accepting the fact that people in that industry get paid a premium due to the cyclical nature of the industry

What products have you been able to pick up recently that are priced uncharacteristically low?
Gas.

did you go about finding and buying it? I've been looking
If it's a good deal it will never make it down to the general public

I won't say historically but over the last year and a half to two years they have moved in tandem
You do realize that there are many, many factors that affect stock prices?
Tunnel visioning on a few months when you're considering a life long investment is uneducated.
I might as well say that because we had a warm winter is bad for stocks. We need ice and snow to get my 401k going.

corn and other grain products had their prices tank this past harvest season, and you didnt hear people from out here bitching and moaning the way that the oilfield baws are in your area.
You must not be paying attention. My family has been farming in America since the Revolutionary war and I can honestly say that nobody bitches, whines, cries, and poor mouths more than the American farmer. So you are just out of touch with reality.

They also didnt piss all their money away on useless shite like F250's and four wheelers.

Remove the Ethanol welfare hand-out and get back to me.

That fella' 100% has never met a farmer. I personally haven't noticed anything being cheaper besides gas. Nothing that we consume enough to really make a different that is. My job is still currently some what stable but it's gotten a loooooot slower. I'm reporting to Halliburton today for a pre job meeting and am dreading it. So so many guys that I've come to know will not be there and are home searching for jobs. Something's going to shake in the near future though. As nothing more than a piss ant, I only know what I read and hear. I do know for a fact that a few majors are aligning big plans for the gulf which gives me hope. That being said, they ofcourse know more than we do. Only time will tell but I do believe that the good ole boys who feed and clothe their kids by means of the oil field will come back with a force that the Prius pussies will shite their pants over.

Are you kidding me? The state was one of the best environments for attracting new businesses.
Everything was done to lure new business here.
What a joke.
Letting the petrochemical industry rape the environment, leading to some of the highest cancer rates in the nation.
Operating a substandard state public health and hospital system, leading to near bottom-of-the-nation rankings in practically every measure of public health.
All but ignoring education in the allocation of public funds, resulting in a poorly-educated and untrained work force.
Failing to maintain (let alone improve) roads and public infrastructure.
These things are important to homegrown businesses and outside companies thinking of locating facilities in a state. Sure, tax breaks are nice, but ultimately worthless if the basic resources needed to operate aren't up to standard.

not because of oil prices though
because their asses are getting investigated for keeping prices artificially inflated

maybe not
it usually takes 6 months to 1 year for flights to adjust their prices, because they are mostly basked on speculation

Pretty subtle troll thread

$8 per flight is lowest in decade? Wait until oil jumps again and they raise airfare more than $8 per flight to cover the cost.
