You do realize you're going to be in deep shite if you leave her to deal with it on her own. Married 26 years, you HAVE to know this.

Suck it up and help your wife and let the chips fall where they may.

I can't see how this is even debatable.

Talk to your PCP and request a prophylactic like Tamiflu if you’re really scared about getting it. She should be quarantined bc it’s contagious, so leave. I had the flu and that’s what my SO did. We both received flu vaccines 2 months prior. SO didn’t get sick thankfully.

Your serious answer is call your doctor or your wife’s doctor and ask for a script for Tamiflu 2 capsules BID for 5 days. Its the prevention dose. A vaccine takes 10-14 days to be effective. Other than that I would try to avoid her

What the hell is this? You have been married 26 years, you have a college aged kid, and you are on an internet chat board asking for advice about wife having flu? You get the shot early in the year, you live life, remember your marriage vows- In sickness and in health, how about that?

I too am a wife and have ...... what appears to be flu.... and I approve this message. Get her soup with crackers (2 diff kinds of each to be extra) and get soft kleenex, pedialyte, and her favorite treat/candy. She should know you shouldn’t be around bc it’s so contagious so kindly make your escape to the other room. But Lysol the frick out of door knobs, toilets, bathroom, kitchen (fridge doors, pantry door)
Good luck

Nope. She’s highly contagious. Get the Fock out. Tamiflu May save her a couple days of misery. Can only treat the symptoms. GTFO of there

Quit acting like a giant vagina and take care of your sick wife. She has the flu...not ebola.

Maybe sleep in another room...but still be there to care for her.

If she has had symptoms for longer than 48 hours...tamiflu is useless and just throwing money away.

PIIHB.

At least this way, if she shits herself mid act, it'll be more in the neighborhood of lubricant.

She got the Tamiflu within the 48 hour window. 24 actually.

I bought her all kinds of stuff. She has eaten one bowl of soup in the last day.

I also bought Lysol wipes and spray and a huge bottle of hand sanitizer. She’s infected this entire house so all I have is my super immune system and avoidance as my defense.

You clearly haven’t been married long enoug to realize it’s a competition see who lives longest.
