A fifteen year old high School freshman was shot twice, fatally, in front of her home.

Her boyfriend was in a gang that was fighting the Crips. There had been a collection of drive by shootings, some lethal, other's missed their targets.
Obviously someone was helping the police put this together, so at least the why is probably known correctly. The who is still unknown.

But at least someone is talking to the police, unlike so many homicides.

All of that fighting over "control" of land that they don't even own, nor have any prospects of ever owning.

This particular area here in Knoxville has been a mess for as long as I've lived here but this year has been the worst and its only May. We have a new mayor and an extremely unqualified police chief. I knew the former police chief (Rausch). He was appointed Director of the TBI by our former governor in 2018. Great guy and I wish he was still chief. The woman appointed new chief when he left is way in over her head. She was selected for "reasons" considering who the mayor was at the time and this new mayor is even worse. I just stay away from that part of town.

Can't remember which comedian had a joke about this. How the area they were fighting over being owned by old white Jews and how they should be the ones walking around throwing gang signs yelling "whhest siide".

That's far too subtle a way of saying "systemic racism" and "white supremacy". That sort of language which excuses white privileging is simply not going to fly under the presidency of William Tate IV.

Are they still protesting over the cops killing the kid who brought a gun to school and fired it?

So there are more people in gangs like the crips and Latin kings but we are worried about the KKK running around killing brown people.

This is the crux of why most of the issues are happening in the larger city’s. Idiot Mayors and unqualified police chiefs, not rank and file officers. It’s a damn disgrace.

This is the same school where the student was shot by police after pulling his gun out on them in the school bathroom.
