I have never bought any gifts on Black Friday.

So this will have zero impact on anything in my life.

China is our enemy. I'm glad to see the American obsession with securing cheap made in China products ebbing somewhat.

I didn't expect much, but it's a really great guitar especially for that price.

Sensationalist headline that isn’t supported by the article content

Sounds like people are budgeting less for gifts due to rise in costs like health insurance which has nothing to do with tariffs

Also claims that retailers will have less bargains due to tariffs then later claims Walmart is hinting at big discounts

To the contrary, I recently saw some STUPID low prices on tv's at walmart. Many items increased in price because of tariffs. That doesn't mean companies don't then give black friday deals, regardless of the year long base price. This was pointless.

Your continued participation in Black Friday “deals” is why you’re still poor.

The tariffs aren’t to blame.

When you cater to the LCD, you can do that, daily, over and over and over.

Sounds like people are budgeting less for gifts due to rise in costs like health insurance which has nothing to do with tariffs

That was done, on purpose, over a decade ago by the group the media loves to lie for. Don't dare point this out. That makes you a racist, somehow.

It isn't just WalMart. I watched three videos last night on the top 50 BF deals at WM, Costco, and Sams. A wide variety of items, many of which are supposedly affected by tarriffs.

When you cater to stupid people, expect stupid articles that lie and manipulate.

Essentially the same flawed argument as minimum wage proponents.

“Made in Merica” is akin to “living wage”.

Dems and their manipulations.

They are even trying to use the below to imply criminals are not the main source of Trump’s detainees. First they are requiring the illegals detained to be convicted before detainment to be considered a criminal or even perpetrators of crimes including the crime of entering or being in our country illegally, then there is some possible ambiguity on when these “convictions” needed to take place (Oct 1 - Nov 15th), and finally regardless of any possible ambiguity on dates of convictions these are allegedly the detainees for the 1st month and a half of this current 2026 fiscal govt year (and during the shutdown) and not a total for Trump’s presidency. This is shown on chart but ignored by the representative.

Ignores that 22% had been convicted of a crime including some with previous immigration convictions and including traffic pushes it to 27% (not sure if traffic fully defined by this guy) and tried to focus on just convictions of violent crimes. Obviously also ignores being in the country illegally or entering illegally is a crime and doesn’t address at all if any accusations, arrests, or other criminal acts without a conviction prior to their detainment by law enforcement.

Some other points made by others.

The entire premise of this argument is shockingly dangerous. This guy believes that if someone breaks into your home they should be allowed to stay without consequences as long as they don’t happen to murder or rape you.

quote:

A “no conviction” category doesn’t mean harmless. It means unvetted. When you have no idea who someone is, what they’ve done, or what they’re tied to, that’s not a safety statistic — that’s a national security risk.

No where does any of this remotely proof the Rep’s conclusion:
quote:

“The vast majority of the people being taken are hardworking, law-abiding members of our communities. They are just trying to provide for their families and contribute to America.

My big ticket purchase for black friday sales was 70% off.

Tariffs had no impact here, I wouldn’t have bought shite from Temu (Amazon) anyway.
