It's a story about a guy falling into a grease/oil vat and dies.. A company that only recycles food waste from Disney, and other businesses. It's is completely independent from Disney and the guy who died has nothing to do with Disney as well. Yet they try to tie Disney into it because they use the company..

Worker dies after falling into vat at plant that recycles food waste from Disney World

quote:

A man died early Wednesday after falling into a vat of oil and grease at a plant near Walt Disney World that recycles the resort's food waste, authorities said.

They actually contacted Disney to see if they could add more to the non-story...

Just to be clear, you're upset their headline and content in this article is 100% factual?

It's factual, but why didn't they mention any other businesses that use the company...?

There's actually plenty of articles about Disney's decision to become partners with that biogas company being a big step towards finding new sources of energy. It's not like they are completely unrelated prior to this story.

I'm sure this won't fit your narrative but I'm still not exactly sure what your angle is on this one

Because you wouldn't click on the article if it said "Worker dies after falling into vat at plan that recycles waste for Jim Bob's Chicken and Fries"

Wait until the trial lawyers get a hold of this. They'll make it look like Mickey Mouse himself pushed that poor, unfortunate, soul in to the vat of grease.

It's not a political story, and unless they make me money, I can give two shits about likes...

Yesterday I posted the story from the WaPo about the kid getting "banned" from school because of his dreadlocks..

But yet the kid wasn't actually banned...

I was simply pointing out the BS with the Washington Post...

People are trying to laugh at your story, but it's 100 percent a great point.

I doubt they would do the same thing if the company was Amazon, rather than Disney.

Maybe WaPo wouldn’t, just because Bezos owns their company.. is that really a surprise though? You can bet the rest of the news outlets would use the exact same wording.

For the record, Disney owns ABC and while their headline was “Worker dies after falling into vat of oil in Florida” the first sentence of the article says:
quote:

Authorities say a worker has died after falling into a vat of oil at a facility near Walt Disney World.
