In almost every single study measuring quality of life, Minnesota ranks in the top 5 and Louisiana in the bottom 5.

Have never been to MN, but have visited neighboring states in summer and have also been in subzero temperatures. For that alone (and what I assume to be unrelenting depression 6-8 months per year), zero chance Minnesota outranks most sunbelt states in terms of quality of life. Also I would assume the food sucks arse like most of the north. I watched the Astros play the Twins in an early-May series and it was sub-40. That is laughable.

Washington is great outside of Seattle city limits. That place is just backwards.

Nah Seattle is great too.

Those states and constituents that voted for trump sure do like ranking at the bottom. It’s hilarious seeing those states that consistently vote red continually come deadlast in everything of importance.

Oh the freedom to chose to remain alarmingly ignorant and dependent on govt assistance...that last part being everything in which they hate, at least on the campaign trail.

It’s as if they haven’t realized that voting red has only made their lives collectively WORSE since the souther strategy. But hey MAGA!

Unfortunately it has a serious smug problem. Same with Portland.

What is the demographic breakdown of the 50th state? What is the demographic breakdown of the 1st state?

I wonder why that map follows so closely to demographic maps

Keep blaming others like those States like ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, TN, etc don’t suffer from the same aintshitness and don’t have those “demographic” problems. Have u ever been there? Definitely not the heartland of this country. It’s vacant for a reason.

Buddy, it might be the policies and not the people.

What happened to Wyoming, Idaho and the Dakotas before you edited? Find out they weren't near the bottom?

I know it's reputation, but honestly I haven't experienced any of the smugness first-hand. People here are colder than the south, but once they open up they are nice as hell.

Ya. But then again you're one of the smug douchebags I'm referring to. Every post you make on this forum involves you looking down on other people out of some false sense of superiority.

Tell them you're from the south and conservative.

Most gave a cartoonish opinion over people who live in the South. . Might be as insulated as the South.

I do mention that I'm from the south. For the most part I'm far more conservative than the people I've met, but again, I haven't noticed the smugness. It might be my personality, but I've made friends with people as varied as Boeing engineers to super left-wing antifa types. Having lived here, I straight up haven't noticed it. Maybe I'm smug deaf.

Again, just going by my experience, the only person I recall who had a hyperbolic experience about the South was from an old lady who was from South Carolina. Otherwise, no one has cared all that much that I'm from the South.
