In their defense, they got strong armed into that. They hired a Louisiana company to handle their claims who wasn't taking that BS because they lived here. Then Obama and Mary Landrieu got involved and made them hire a New York company And Ken Feinberg and the crazy fraud began like paying strippers as "independent freelance artists" or paying someone that had a 20' skiff $500,000 a year for shrimp

Oh brother. BP agreed to an insane settlement agreement and then spent years fighting tooth and nail against it. Their stupidity fricked the gulf coast for years. frick BP.
