So you opened up Chrome Dev tools. Tell me, what is chicken tracking with what you found?
He’s tracking my browser type, device type and page views!!!!
let me know if you want me to hack another site and tell you what they are tracking

there are steps you can take to make things harder.
You want to win, don't hide. Just f*ck with the algorithm. Google random weird stuff. Look up how to make explosives, how to dissolve a body, when the best time to pick up a hooker, watch 12 hours of videos on gun cleaning, farming, home gene splicing. The more people game the system, the less effective their surveillance. Garbage in, garbage out.

This isn't social media so to speak. VPN's should help. Tor definitely will, but it's like being on dial up.

NordVPN and their CyberSec ad blocking technology is hard to top.
I go through Australia every time (getting around geolocks for TV.) Even with that Google is able to use any other device running & my search history to tell me exactly where I am down to the block. If Apple ever releases a Note like device (or Samsung stops making a phone with its features) I'll join the rest of my family in the iPhone/Apple ecosystem.

What about Brave? I just looked at ctemplar.com and that actually seems to be something of interest.
We are still in the wild wild west days of the internet and at some point I think things will get better & more secure.

This reminds me of everyone freaking out over Whatsapp "sharing your info" then moving to other platforms that did the same shite Whatsapp was just going to start doing.
But still linked here daily by grown adults

Ive been testing some of those coupon extensions. Most of them have pretty good discounts. I just found a new one called CouponCabin, which is giving me shite for some reason. Between the major discounts on bitdefender's site, and the additional coupons, you can get it at a good price.
Honestly, these coupon screeners work so well I'm worried about it working in Brave, which I plan to check out soon. perhaps I will check out the other one mentioned.
This change is going to be a bear as far as email address.

Just as an example, this is the type of stuff that pops up when you get to the billing stage on a website:
Some don't always support said website, but you get the idea.

I think doing any of this is fighting a losing battle.
IMO, the only way to combat this is use internet for necessities and log off otherwise. Delete all social media, limit forums to anonymous ones, etc.
Pay for high quality services if you must. Nothing is free.
If you're serious about your privacy, make enough money to become self sufficient, go off grid and shop locally for basic stuff. Even then, you're just kind of in hiding.

I’m well on my way to destroying any Gmail and Google connection. I loathe these bastards and what they do. It’s going to take a few more weeks

Most notably the NSA helped develop some of the technology TOR uses. I'm not sure with respect to actually working on the TOR project itself. It was an open source project with quite a bit of notoriety. When methods are found to compromise TOR they are typically made public and eventually and fixed.
So it's decent. Is it perfect? No, nothing is in this space.
