The Popeyes in the Memphis airport was always very solid.

Denver isn't far behind it

Going through Denver is quite easy if you know a few things:

1. All international flights not having preclearance are in Terminal A.
2. Except for the above, if you change planes in Denver and stay on the same airline, you never change terminals. United is in B (the largest terminal), Alaska, Southwest, and Spirit are in C, and all other domestic airlines (including Frontier) are in A.
3. If you're flying through Denver on United, if your connecting plane is a puddle jumper your gate will have a high number, if it is a big plane it will have a low number.

The problem with MEM is the hike to the rental cars.

far away to walk but not far enough for a bus shuttle

When it is hot you will just have to smell if you are going straight to work midday

That was my goto airport as a kid, sad it isn't busy.

I love Southwest. I fly with them whenever possible.

The fellow passengers often suck, but they're cheap and fly direct most places I want to go.

I usually only fly AA or SWA since both are based here and they’re obviously the cheapest, but if AA is within like $100, I’ll pick them. SWA can get so trashy.

Completely agree. Some of the people I get stuck next to when flying solo on SWA are horrifying.

Had a friend that lived in Memphis, retired and moved to a small town in NE Arkansas...
Every time he traveled back to Memphis to visit with the the grandchi-wren....as he would cross the Mississippi River...would say....longest bridge in the world... Arkansas to Africa....yep, he would say that...any one wonder why

SWA isn’t that much cheaper these days. Most airlines are the same price wise.

Luckily I don’t fly solo too often, so I stick my wife in the middle seat as a buffer.

Charlotte is by far the lowest cost per passenger hub in the AA system. They're not shutting it down.

Flew through Charlotte a few months ago. The place is bustling and has a number of construction projects going on throughout the place.
