This is the league that has lost me. Take all the things we said, and add in absolutely garbage gameplay and strategy.

Still enjoy watching, just not as emotionally invested as my younger self.

I still enjoy watching college football on Saturdays. As I've aged, I now enjoy watching other conferences other then the SEC. The fans, the pageantry, the fall weather, makes for great entertainment even when LSU isn't playing. I text friends around the country when their team is playing, all fun.

I like to watch sports on tv - Astros (watching less this year because the team is so fricking frustrating), College Football, NFL Redzone, golf, tennis majors, etc. etc. I don't not watch any of the ESPN talk shows, Barstool, or that dipshit Paul Finebaum.

I stopped watching CNN/Fox News/ MSNBC a decade ago and my life is much better for it.

So, Sports is not trivial - each game is history in the making. Talking heads (news/politics/sports) are what is trivial.

Back in high school I used to sneak in my transiter radio to catch the World Series in class ( no nite games back then)........only got caught once. Fifty years later I haven't watched a MLB game in decades +. Then, with LSU games, I'd pout for a week after a loss. And missed mabe 5-6 family-related weddings to catch a game on tv. Today, going back a few years, I'll watch if convenient to what else is happening in my world. After a loss, I'm past it after Mass on the following Sunday morning. The NFL lost me, again, decades ago.

Yes. I still watch sports but the amount has been drastically reduced.
