So I go get my hair cut at Sports Clips(no MVP), go to pay, it was $17.00.

Hot Chick is at the register with me and after I run my card the option comes up to tip.

$5.00, $10.00 or $20.00 - the other option is proceed with no tip. I did $5.00 but felt screwed as I walked out. 29% on a shitty haircut that took 5 minutes ?

There is an option for custom tip where you can put what you want.
You started this thread just to get attention from the baws

Before or after tax. Anyway, haircuts are rare so it is ok to tip extra.

Your choice to go somewhere that gives you a shitty haircut. The place I go to is well worth a 5 dollar tip

You paid $22 for a hair cut. Get over it. I think $5 is a fine tip

I also want to add that I’ve had shitty hair cuts from sport clips and I’ve had ones where they did exactly what I wanted and was very pleased by it. It really is hit or miss and it seems like no place ever has the same ladies cutting the hair so you can never get the same one

Isn't there usually a custom amount option? I'd go with that.

How much were you wanting to tip? $5 shouldn't leave you feeling "screwed".

My FIL gets his cut at Sports Clips for $10. $17. Next time say no tip but hand her a couple bucks.

They get a % of the total and the rest goes to the house for hair cutters

No tip for them

It’s a $22 hair cut. That’s cheap. Get over it or bring cash next time.

There's a local Greek food joint here in Laffy where you order and pay before getting the food. After swiping the card, you have the option to tip. I always select no. WHy should I tip BEFORE eating? This tipping thing here in America has gone way out of control.

That's the point, I didn't have an option to tip what I wanted

Always carry cash for tip in case there isn't a custom option.

Tip at least five for a haircut. Anything less is trashy.
