What about Prostitutes? You forgot to add Prostitutes to the list of workers who don't have a day off on Thanksgiving.

Retailer workers and their plight... Who fricking cares?

I don't know why many of them bitch in the first place. I need like 2 hours with my family on thanksgiving and then let me work. Time and a half all day, I'll work 12-14 hours if I can.

I worked retail in college. I would always request to be put on the Thanksgiving set up shifts at 5pm so I could get time and a half. 4.5 hours was more than enough time to eat and see my family that day. Christmas was just a month away anyway.

It does sucks working holidays, not gonna lie. But when you work a job that is open during holidays....comes with the territory, and you know when you accepted the job that it was likely a possibility. Only bitching I'll make about working holidays as a nurse is that we no longer get paid time and a half to work them.
That said....I have all of Thanksgiving and Christmas off this year.....def doesn't happen often for me so I'm gonna consider myself blessed and enjoy it (I'm working NYE and the New Year's Day as my required holidays)

Funny, I don't hear this complaining that you're bitching about.
Go persecute yourself harder, OP.
