Very similar to what it’s like here in Georgia. It’s really not an “opening” as much as it is a removal of government-imposed restrictions.

Places are still requiring masks, or are even completely closed. Things aren’t going to be “normal” for a while.

Easy for restaurants.

If you have 40 tables, you seat 10 of them.

The border between Texas and Louisiana looks like the border between West and East Berlin. Even more so since they have reopened.
Drove through last weekend to drop my son off at his sister's house. I printed up a letter on company letterhead just in case. Passenger cars have to pull off the interstate (I10) into the rest stop. they had lanes to pull through. the troopers were just steadily waving cars through. i don't understand the point.

That pork chop lunch is legit. May be the first time it isn't at capacity on a Friday.

Supposedly that is being removed. Not sure effective date, maybe Friday?

Every one of these businesses has an occupancy permit which states the number of people that can be in the building. They take 25% of that.

Science.

So are the Nazis going to check receipts to see if they exceeded 25% at any given time of the day or night? That still sounds sketchy...

I mean...when you drive, your speed isn’t constantly monitored by the cops.

The rule can still work without precise, constant, uniform enforcement. If it looks like you’re packing the joint, you get a citation. Don’t have to make this complicated.

No need to check receipts. Just show up and count the number of patrons in the place. Every place has a number of capacity per fire marshall. Make a simple calculation, if it's exceed, then penalize them (not sure what the penalty is, perhaps a fine, or shut down)?

Cities with fewer than 5 cases can open at 50%. Its only for 2 weeks, anyway. May 18th begins phase 2

Someone theorized that the DNC wants states to remain closed saying “We were just following Trump’s guidelines” to piss off voters. I’m starting to believe that more every day

Saw Mark's video today. LOL

Talk about a big frick you to Abbott......Tea Party still hates GOP.

BTW, 25% capacity is easily doable staffing wise if you're already running curbside orders. Kitchen has been going.....just add a couple wait staff.

Ask Jayce.

We got a bunch of sh!tte in Georgia about opening, but this is basically what we're doing here too. It's a bit hit and miss, but most places that haven't opened are in the process of getting things in order to open again.

The President pussing out and back stabbing the governor didn't help things either. For the life of me, I don't get how he's still not seeing the ruse. But the people need a little time to come to terms with the fact that this wasn't near the problem the original reports swore it was.

All those places and capacity increases occur mid-May, and unlike LA I doubt Texas will miss that target.

Phase II should be mid-May with 50% occupancy allowed. They will look to open gyms, salons, etc. at that point so its a step in the right direction
