Travel orgs definitely don't fleece parents of non-prospects and send them to useless tournaments in other states because you say so.

and machine work is the only real way to simulate game like velocity and spin consistently. your father throwing 40mph lolly pops up to you for "BP" isnt doing a damn thing
when my son is going to organization evaluations and highschool tryouts and high school practices and camps and you name it... guess what is being used most of the time.... PITCHING MACHINES! lmao. And yes, i'm not efficiently throwing 65mph fastballs from 45-48 feet any longer.

back in my day we had a wooden stick and a cardboard glove....we walked up hill to the field and back up hill on the way home in 3' of snow. that was all the tools we needed.
grandpaw forgot to tell us, he never played past 8

maybe his time is worth a lot more than yours
maybe the pitching machine allows them to work nightly.
again why the frick do you care? and how the frick does that make him lazy because he doesnt want to drive 45 min to the field when he could spend less than 5k and have a cage in the yard?
you sound ignorant and poor as frick bro

LOL.
You better hope your daughter doesnt get into equestrian (especially English)
$3k is a partial payment for a month. Most expensive sport on the planet.
Baseball, gymnastics, cheer and dance are nothing compared to it.

I haven't met a dedicated travel ball parent yet who doesn't think their kid will be a superstar at LSU on their next CWS team.
In my experience the parent you describe is the exception not the rule. I know as kids get to high school age that changes. Maybe I have just gotten lucky with a much more laid back experience.

A wise man once said...'most of your misery is self chosen'
My son played tons of baseball all over, it was time consuming. But guess what happened, not much until he hit 14-16 when he got strong as shite and while a really good youth player, he has seen his skills improve due to just being stronger and more mature.
My other boy was not a good player, played rec ball and local tournaments. Wanna guess what happened to him, he turned 14, got some coordination and got big and strong, and while not a good player he has improved dramatically, and should enjoy his last baseball season which will be Jr High baseball.
Keep you kids involved, let them be challenged a little, and time will take care of a very large portion of it. Sorry for the unpopular opinion.

No. We have hectic schedules of their already involved team sports already. You don't really understand a nearly daily dedication that some do and how important 45 minutes is on a nightly basis. besides the fact that i can drive to one of the few rec parks and you are just NOT going to be able to walk onto a baseball field and "toss balls to your son" whenever you want. Its just a laughable notion at this point in time.
