having been to BM a couple of times, I can say that the very best stuff (temple, Contessa, etc.) is too big for them to house, but they did a great job of representing them and many other aspects, with the original artists, of course.
A girl I know went to the exhibit and found a picture of her piece, with her credited as the creator. She had no idea it would be there.

This is why organizers for the exhibit “No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man” (March 30-Jan. 21, 2019) faced a steep challenge when trying to transfer pieces of art from the desert to a museum context, specifically to the Renwick Gallery branch of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington. What proves to be the show’s saving grace is that it doesn't try to be about Burning Man; it aims simply to evoke what it’s like to interact with the festival’s art.

I don't think money is an issue at BM

Les Miles has lost control of the Smithsonian.

I’ve seen like 20 better exhibits today on the Quad.

Is there a VIP BM section that the poors can go burn down?

I see better people arguing how played out is the “quad” walking through the quad every day.

Burning man is a pretty expensive trip all and all. Both in time and money, it isn’t your garden variety Wookiee selling a few tabs of lsd to get into the panic show type of crowd.
It’s $400 just to get in the door

I've actually seen better exhibits in that little patch of land between Howe Russell and the Art building.

Between the two rental RVs, the lost security deposit, which should be expected, the food, fuel, alcohol, recreational drugs and condoms, it ran us well over 10k. Well worth it, but after we doing it twice, I would say one time is enough.
