They are not going to have 300 million doses manufactured, distributed and ready to inject right out of the gate. It's going to take a lot of time and money to pull this off.

Even with all the apprehension, there will still be more people eager to take the vaccine upon initial release then there are available doses and administrators.

As time wears on, and millions of people get the vaccine, we will have an abundance of hard medical data and personal anecdotes about the side effects, safety and efficacy. Assuming things go as planned, this will bring the nervous nellies into the vaccine line once they see all the other people didn't die or become gravely ill.

The remaining holdouts - the never vaxxers - won't matter because we will eventually achieve herd immunity through the combination of recovered sick people and vaccinated.

All dangerous side effects occur immediately?

Just like masking, this nonsense will get whipped up by the media and all the 500# Karen’s will be shaming people not wanting the vaccine on Facebook. It’s truly amazing these folks care so much about the virus while they’ve been killing themselves for yrs with their gluttonous ways.

Guess you didn’t know that world renowned Dr. Alton Ochsner in his zeal to push the polio vaccine tested it on his 18month old grandson, unfortunately it killed him.

I mean, probably. I dont think its likely that you take this vaccine, then 6 years later your dick falls off.

I guess lawsuits like this are just happenstance, but hey at least they didn’t keel over immediately. (And this was a drug that wasn’t rushed to finish)

A vaccine and a chronic pain reliever, yeah, that's the same thing.

if it's not the actual virus, why would the vaccine cause viral-like symptoms?
The flu shot can do the same thing.

From Wikipedia
quote:

Before 2020, no mRNA technology platform (drug or vaccine), had ever been authorized for use in humans, and thus there was the risk of unknown effects, both short-term, and longer-term (e.g. promotion of cancerous cell growth)...

In November 2020, Peter Hotez said of the emerging mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, "I worry about innovation at the expense of practicality".

Michal Linial said, "I won't be taking it immediately – probably not for at least the coming year", and "We have to wait and see whether it really works"...

Tal Brosh, the Head of Infectious Disease Unit at the Samson Assuta Ashdod Hospital said, "There is a race to get the public vaccinated, so we are willing to take more risks", and "We will have a safety profile for only a certain number of months, so if there is a long-term effect after two years, we cannot know,”

There are risks with any medication, each person has to do their own risk assessment and decide which is less risky. In this case, are you more concerned with COVID19 or side effects from a vaccine with less than normal testing? I would say for most people that risk assessment will be decided based on age, weight, and known medical issues. For me, I’m less concerned about the virus than I would be of the vaccine, but I’m younger than 50, I have a BMI of less than 25, and I don’t have any known medical problems.

Don’t believe everything you see posted on social media people talking about this being mandatory and fighting to not get it crack me up. No one is going to force you to get a vaccine lol

Bunch of humorless fricks that lack reading comprehension in this thread.

The article literally says:

quote:

Both companies acknowledged that their vaccines could induce side effects that are similar to symptoms associated with mild Covid-19, such as muscle pain, chills and headache.

Which are the symptoms the vast majority of those who get sick with the virus exhibit before they recover with IMUNNITY.

So, the vaccine makers are giving some folks the same illness to make them immune, which is what my original post stated.

Now who is simple minded here?

Americans are so soft. The side effects listed are incredibly mild and last a day or less.

We are such a mentally weak society.

For me and likely many others it’s the fact this vaccine has been super rushed with no evidence that it does or does not create long term side effects. How many medicines/treatments have gone through full fda trials only to be found out to cause cancer or other maladies down the road?

Which is completely understandable.

My point was simply that if a person’s hesitation for getting a vaccine is because it may make them feel mildly ill for a day, then they are incredibly weak. The fact that this article exists says a lot about the state of our society.

Perhaps not in a literal sense, but i’m sure the government will strongly coerce businesses much like the mask nonsense. Will an airline let you fly without the vaccine? Will a restaurant allow you to dine there? Can you attend a sporting event without one? Will your employer force you to get one?
