There's a book called The Blood of the Lamb, it's about the catholic church taking blood from the Shroud of Turin and cloning Jesus in modern day.

Actually, that sounds pretty interesting for the concept. Is it any good?

They can make a movie about it. Instead of Jurassic Park, they can call it Jesus Park.
They can have a couple thousand Jesus' walking around the Park turning water into wine, making thousands of servings of bread, healing the blind, and, of course, walking on water for the main night time event. They can then put on a fireworks display that spells out "F*CK YOU DISNEY!!!"

I believe they determined it was from the Middle Ages on a 20/20 special over 30 years ago.
It is widely believed that the sample that was carbon dated was from a edge of the cloth that had been repaired in Medieval times. Raymond Rogers, Director of Chemical Research for the Shroud of Turin Research Project (STURP), continued to study the artifact and concluded that the sample tested did not reflect the age of the older portions of the shroud.
More recent testing by University of Padua in northern Italy, used the same fibers from the 1988 tests and these results dates the shroud to between 300 BC and 400 AD.
Supporting information includes the Hungarian Pray Codex which depicts the shroud. The importance of this manuscript is that it has been dated to 1192 - 1195 AD, 70 years earlier than the STURP dating of the Shroud (1260 - 1390AD).

This is wrong
Maybe. I know it's still debated. The YouTube channel Pints With Aquinas just posted a show a week ago which proposes new evidence.
I was mostly commenting on the OP acting like this was a new discovery.

There is a lot of things that point to it being the burial clothe of Jesus. There have been a few things that initially suggested otherwise but on review those finding were proven in error - such as the Carbon dating.
The amazing part to me is the energy level they say it took to make the impression and the energy level evidence found on Jesus’ tomb. They line up remarkably well.
I am open to the Shroud being legit but not convinced either way.

Look up a baw named Barry Schwartz who discovered it was a negative image. One created long before photography was a thing. He has done a lot of research.
No paint pigments in the shroud.
Pollens present that only exist in Israel.
Real blood in biblically accurate wound locations.
Image only exists on uppermost part of fibers of the linen.
Radiocarbon dating easily debunked due to handling and fires.

The most interesting thing about the team that tested the shroud in the 80's, is that after all that testing, they still could not explain how the Shroud of Turin could be made during medieval times.
One expert on the Shroud has issued a challenge to the British Museum, who was one group that carbon dated the shroud and claims it is a medieval forgery:
Expert offers $1M to British Museum if they can replicate the shroud using medieval techniques. They can't.
