This video is WILD. It’s amazing how much time they had to prevent this. It is mind numbing. Please don’t move this as I beleive this should be posted on both boards in its own thread

Just mind blowing incompetence. This guy wasn’t even trying to be stealthy, he was clumsily inching his way on the roof with everyone seeing him and pointing him out. Anyone could have just engaged him and shot him from the ground.
How does not one LEO get a radio to get Trump down and off the stage in all of that time?
I hope the families of the man dead and those critically injured find peace because this would enrage me to no end.

This was not an accident.
ETA: this was constructive ineptness.
“I can see a conversation where one says, how much detail can we strip to make Trump vulnerable. Because it’s for democracy. Then it happens and they are surprised? No, just mad shooter missed.”

The worst part isn’t that they don’t respond quickly enough. It’s that there should have been a sniper there from the start and/or protection around the building since it’s about the only known vantage point to do something like that. It’s a downright failure of the SS.

Of course not. It was a deliberate act by the shooter. Multiple people screwed up and miscommunicated leading to the confusion which resulted in the shooter being able to take a shot at Trump. If only one of those mistakes doesn't happen then they catch this guy before he's ever a threat.

That doesn’t happen on presidential Secret Service details. That whole area is locked down and the every peripheral movement is expected and coordinated….

Oh I agree. The fact they allowed a building only 130 yards away not to be guarded is the biggest joke, but this dude just climbing like a jackass being seen by everyone is such a bad look for SS

Well I doubt anyone of us here knows exactly what happens on Secret Service presidential details, not to mention the fact that this wasn't a presidential security detail. It was detail for a former president, which I'm willing to bet doesn't get the assets of an actual Presidential detail.
