I watched a lot of coverage, and there was a noticeable shift of the approach of the police. Police helicopters started actively zooming in on car's license plates. Reports of police taking still-frame photos of random rioters were widespread. The efforts to find the most active and responsible of the looters have not gone away. PDs are still actively pursuing leads and making arrests.
I suspect there were multiple PD employees back at the stations doing nothing but taking screen captures and filing location reports. All of this will be used in the weeks ahead to track down people.
And, when you consider the amount of idiots who filmed themselves, using their own devices, committing felonies and posted those videos online, some of these arrests are going to be really easy.
All to be dropped by the prosecutor.

Seems like a pretty fricking low standard to me, but you do you though.
I apply that standard equally to all. Many don't. Take Harry Morgan here, for example, who thinks the penalty for looting should be execution, while apparently a cop murdering someone for looting should not be penalized at all.

If someone breaks into my home to take my things I will shoot him. That is not murder. I would do the if it was my store. You are trying to justify looting by saying they did not take much. The looters were and are scum. Don’t try to excuse their actions by showing that someone else did something else that was bad.
