I should distinguish between being exposed - and getting it.
Everyone will be exposed, but most people won’t become ill. Either because of innate or acquired immunity.
Having exposure to other coronaviruses is probably protective.
When I came down with it, it was like the flu. But not quite that bad.
I did have a light cough that lasted two weeks.

The double red today is a bit too cautious as okaloosa currently has yellow. Walton had to rescue 11 people yesterday and I think one didn’t make it. They tend to over react after a day like that.
One of my kids is currently surfing (attempting too) and the other is on a body board. There have been conditions worse than today where it’s been yellow.

Walton County tends to be over cautious. They never fly a green flag, even on completely flat, waveless days.

I’m here at a minimum 8 days per month and I rarely see green, while a mile and a half down the street in okaloosa it’s always green or yellow.

Furthermore, you aren’t getting Covid going to the beach. You are getting Covid going shopping, to restaurants, and doing other things like going on a fishing boat with strangers...at the beach.
Going from your condo or home to the beach and back. Is not where people are getting sick. Picking up food to go, is not likely where people are getting sick.

Agree in principle.
However, it's just too big a state. Too many population centers for it to move through.
Florida will have a few peaks regardless of how they handle it.

But probably 35% or so have natural immunity from other Coronavirus infections.
That's why HIT is 25% or so.
Despite their assertions NYC and the NE USA is basically there.
They'll claim it's "muh masks", but NYC is seeing days with zero deaths. Down from high hundreds at peak.
