It is Michael Jackson and a bunch of snobby roller bladers fault.

This is exactly how I imagine myself looking on the dance floor after a dozen trips to the open bar at someone else's wedding

I celebrated my 30th birthday at what used to be called Skate Country.

This isn’t me, nor did I have nearly as many show up, and I did have mostly classical and Christmas music played during the party. But it looks fun:

I've been to a skating rink when it's crowded, but that's rush hour traffic right there.

My nephew had his 8th bday party at a skating rink in Glendale last spring.

At the time I wasn't allowed to skate due to medical reasons...but I really wanted to cause I spent many weekends as a kid at Leo's by Cortana Mall.

Rink was full of little kids with those PVC pipe skating walker things on wheels they give them now. Seems like you are just dodging them as you skate.

My favorite comic bit about roller skating....

I was a kid at the height of roller rinks. For some reason I remember lots of hand and finger injuries: jammed fingers, hands and fingers rolled over while people were on the floor.

I think he stole some of my memories from Skate Country.

This was my song: LINK

Skating is a healthy activity for kids and adults alike. We should all, when in health, do more of it.

It was great though being a kid at that time. Can remember being like 12 and my friend's mom would drop us off to go skating for several hours.

We just needed some spending money for nachos and dill pickles and maybe some video games.

Can remember doing lock ins at skating rinks as well for various churches. You could take your sleeping bag and pillow and sleep wherever you wanted in the rink.

I remember many moons ago I overheard one mom tell another that skating rinks >>> bowling alleys b/c you keep moving in a rink. Kids will get restless bowling

I was at Roller Kingdom in Hammond as a young teen late 70’s early 80’s. Such fun times. A lot of REO Speedwagon in those couples skating back then

Doesn't quite look like the one on Judge Perez in the nineties.

Are you the portly guy that’s always decked out in Tulane gear and seen riding around uptown on an adult tricycle. This guy seems to be at Henry’s bar a lot.
