Out of all these high profile police shooting cases recently, the only one i’m truly pissed about is Tamir Rice, with Philando Castille a distant second place.
Everyone else either had it coming or acted REALLY stupidly to the cops.
mother effing this.
every time, the dead person's family gets their story out there first and i'm all eff the police.
then the real reports come out.
Tamir Rice was a poor kid who thought it would be cool to make his gun look real by painting the orange tip. Philando sounded like a guy who just made the wrong move at the wrong time.
i have an iota of sympathy for those officers, but it's really small. both should be in jail.
every other time, i agree, resisting an officer and noncompliance are not a death sentence. however resisting an officer and noncompliance in a way that is aggressive and or violent towards an officer is asking for it regardless of race.
first time i got pulled over i didn't know what to do (neither of my parents had ever got pulled over while i was in the car in 16 years) so i got my license and insurance and got out of the car and started walking towards the officer. he put his hand on his sidearm and i froze. told me to stop and put my hands on the car. he came up, explained why he didn't want me coming to him, said in the future, stay in the car, and wait for the officer.
i was fortunate to have an officer deescalate the situation but also fortunate enough to have had good encounters with police officers to know to listen to them. sadly, so many of these stories involve people that already have a negative history with law enforcement so their immediate reaction is fight or flight and we have this shite.

Ummm, well, was the mustang in fact stolen? If not why was he "running" from the cops in the car? At some point you are responsible if you try to run over, through or around cops with a 4000lb car! According to the report they didn't profile and start shooting. They only intended to question the occupants/driver. They only started shooting when the driver decided it was best to start ramming police cars and run. What about any other innocent person walking in the parking lot? Were they supposed to get run over by an idiot in a car out of control? Stick with the facts and not rhetoric and you'll see the driver was committing a CRIME regardless of whether or not the car was stolen. Got what he deserved, well done men/women in blue!

Both of these should have resulted in cops in jail.
