Ron Desantis is the most competent politician in America and it’s not very close.

You know what else you hardly see in Florida on major transmission lines? Wooden poles. They have upgrading to metal for over a decade now.

Meanwhile Entergy in SWLA, just keeps on replacing those wooden poles. Stupid is as stupid does.

Another one lost in all this is how impressive Puerto Rico has been with restoration compared to Maria now that they're under different management.

Amazing the difference leadership makes doesn't it.

Has absolutely NOTHING to do with the leadership in Florida showing how to get shite done. That has absolutely NOTHING to do with this.

Just accept that Florida is a better run state, in every aspect, than Louisiana
Was in Baton Rouge to help my mom through Ida. Was stationed in Florida for Irma, Maria and now (retired) for Ian.

Florida responds better, hands down.

Yeah, but I bet Desantis can't shuffle through papers at his podium with just his pinkies and smack between sentences like he's beatboxing a hot mic

Dunno if someone already stated this - but its important to remember Florida got smart a few decades ago and buried huge swaths of the power grid.

Its not like restoring power here, they dont have to replace thousands of poles. In most places they’re just waiting for standing water to subside so they can re-energize that portion of the grid.

Our utility construction company went last week to a cooperative and we are already back. We tried to go elsewhere to assist but every utility already had all the crews needed and were turning away help. The logistics in that area of Florida helped much more than Hurricane Michael in 2018. It is true, much of the transmission and main feeder lines are updated with heavy construction to handle strong winds better than the old crap in Louisiana.

Not gonna lie, old Ron is picking up some big cred for the way this thing is getting handled.
My governor

I drove from my house over to my shop which is in Cortez near the gulf Friday to see how things were. I did not get any major damage but from my house (15 miles away) to my shop looked like a damn war zone. Like a bomb had went off. Crazy amount of debris and damage

I drove in this morning to open my business back up and you could hardly tell that anything happened. What they did in the last few days down here is incredible. It is business as usual all the way to the gulf....

No limbs, no full trash cans, hell the grass is even cut. Im impressed at what all the people who live and work here along with the authorities did. Amazing. Power is restored to everything, internet and everything is open

I know its a shite show down south but I did not expect this condition

That’s a weird way to spell “incompetent leadership”
