We have some hands that probably make more money than me but they work 28 and 14 in shitty places like North Dakota and West Texas. Most of them work over their 14 days off so they rarely get days off. These guys are on their 3rd, 4th, 5th marriages so they've lost half their shite that many times. Their kids hate them if they even know who they are. Usually alcoholics and always one paycheck away from being dead broke.

Never said anything like that. What IS second class is their constant "bragging" (or is it really more like whining) about how hard they work "just for their family". That's childish and nothing more than an attention whore.

"Look at me! Look at me! I work 14-16 hour days, 6 days a week, so my wife and kids can have the things they really don't need."

Ever thought they might want to to stay home more and hang around with them?

Its going to suck when the wife he's sending to the manicurist and health club and spa turns around and leaves him with someone she met up with while he was "working so hard".

I have no idea. I know they were making that 15 years ago when I worked a turnaround in college. No doubt they make way more than that now in Lake Charles with all we have going on. Just structural welders are at the $30 mark I think.

Laborers here are at $14+

Not every blue collar worker works shift work nor do they all work away from home all the time

Just about everytime I've seen this photo posted, it's been a wife and not the husband posting it

Women = attention whores most of the time

I have boat capts that are making $700/day.

Think about that. They sometimes stay on the boat 30 days at a time and only take 7 days off.

And they'll still jump ship just for $5 more a day on another boat. Motherfrickers are never happy.
