I have a lifetime of interesting tidbits.
Too bad I can't spend them.

Have you ever thought about why there are so many people with the last name Smith and Baker? Well, upon conquering a town, the blacksmiths and bakers were actually useful to you, so you killed everyone else and spared them. There’s a reason you don’t meet anyone with the last name Warrior.

Tennessee had a DB named Nigel Warrior a few years ago, but you’re right he is one of the very few.

Spend your tidbits here... what's another interesting thing? Please no Chlamydia infested koalas, that's actually been done already.

Someone posted recently how paperwasps can recognize and remember faces, that was certainly interesting.

What else ya got? I could use something lighter before tucking in for the night- too much doom scrolling today.

It's interesting how some cultures differentiate last names by sex.

You can add Carpenter, Bowyer, and others to that.
Tidbit: guys who built/fixed roofs were called Warwickers
This evolved into the last name Warwick.

that was the other choice of surname for the Brit royal family

But I guess they figured ‘Mountbatten-Windsor’ sounded more posh

I work with a “Cobbledick”.

We call him “Gobbledick”, obviously.

I thought they were named Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, from Edward VII’s father’s line. Queen Victoria was a Hanover but due to patrilineal succession, the house changed from Hanover to Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, and then Windsor.
