Didn’t the NO Mob have stuff going on in Shreveport? I know a guy who says the mob killed his Dad there.

Do I need to go down the Dr Mary's Monkey rabbit hole? I've never believed in the lone gunman theory. I've heard most every theory discussed in the thread except this Dr Mary thing. Should I read that book or is it wasting time?
Read it. No single shooter hack posting ITT can counter a single one of the findings in that book. It doesn’t purport to solve anything about the assassination but there is zero doubt about what was going on on the ground in New Orleans.

I tend to discount most conspiracy theories out there (the last 3-4 years not withstanding) but there are 3 things that bother me about this case.
1. How does Oswald defect to the USSR during a tense period of the Cold War and then just return as if nothing happened.
To me this sounds like he was SENT to the Soviet Union.
2. De Mohrenschildt’s connection to Oswald is an insane coincidence if Oswald is not connected.
3. I want to see a detailed investigation into Officer JD Tippit’s background.

Far more than that.. after defecting to the USSR, upon his return, he went to New Orleans to "work" at Reilly Foods - for one of the biggest conservative, anti-Sastro powers in the South, the same place that Judyth Baker "worked" at while covertly performing government research that we now know about because of research like Ed Haslam's. We're meant to believe that someone like Reilly, who was in league with people like Clay Shaw and other rabid anti-Communists, just didn't know that a prominent defector to the USSR, who also was in Ferrie's Civilian Air Patrol, was under his employ

I would really love to hear the single shooter response to this just incredible series of coincidences.

You mean the discredited Rufus who underwent hypnosis and “truth serum” by the freak deviant Jim Garrison before he ever remembered any connection?

The entire state. Casinos all over and other rackets. Supposedly Marcello's Texas bookmaking operation alone was making like double digit millions a year. (allegedly). They had a pretty good hold over the gulf coast states and completely over Louisiana.
ETA: and mutual deals with Chicago in Vegas, with Meyer Lanksy in Miami and Cuba, a lot of dealings with Tampa and New York bosses. Hell when LaGuardia went after all of the Frank Costello and the Genovese (and other families) slot machines Huey Long was the go between and they moved them all to Louisiana, witth NYC taking a cut. I'd have to check that may have been Silver Dollar Sam's time as Boss. Either way, Louisiana has one of the deepest American LCN history, as many came through New Orleans and set up shop in LA and other relatives spread out.

That’s the one.

Oswald was a communist sympathizer
He had an FBI number. He worked for the US government. Back then you don't defect to Russia and return and publically spout off about Castro and get away with it. He was protected. He was being positioned to look like a communist sympathizer by intelligence agencies. He was doing what he was told.
Anyone that has retrieved a bullet shot through a living creature knows what they look like when they exit. The bullet presented in the Warren Commission is an absolute joke that people swallow as concrete evidence.
I could only get through half this thread before I realized that people will always believe what they're told. I'm not gonna argue with y'all, but JFK pissed off a lot of very powerful groups and individuals.
I believe it was a combination of LBJ, FBI (Hoover was being forced to retire - that got reversed after the assassination) Texas oilmen (JFK was about to reduce the oil depletion allowance), the CIA (Bay of pigs), the military industrial complex (JFK drafted an order to begin returning troops from Vietnam weeks before he died - LBJ reversed it immediately afterward and the draft reversal was actually created before the hit) and the mob (they got him elected and he sicked his brother on them as a thank you). The route decisions made that day only occur if someone with extreme power is in on it. There's photo evidence of LBJ ducking in the back of the motorcade while nobody else is.
The main shooter was Malcolm Wallace (Expert marksman and LBJ hitman). They found his fingerprint in the sniper's nest and had a fingerprint expert verify it. It was sent to the FBI and after half a year they released a letter saying it was not a match to the dismay of the fingerprint expert. One way Wallace liked to kill people was by redirecting vehicle exhaust into the moving car, causing a wreck. Ironically, that's how he died a few years later. Tieing up loose ends.
You know it's all BS because they put Allen Dulles on the Warren Commission. Ex head of the CIA that absolutely hated JFK.
Do the math. He pissed off every powerful group and yet people believe it was a commie sympathizer (that was publically positioned to look like one by intelligence agencies in the years leading up) that was a marginal shot at best that killed him while everyone else just got lucky. Who stood to benefit the most from the assassination? JFK did not want LBJ as a running mate, but LBJ used incriminating photos supplied to him by Hoover to get on the ticket. JFK's brother had already told his secretary that LBJ was not going to be on the next ticket before the assassination.
LBJ was also about to be Federally indicted for corruption in the Senate due to his connection with Bobby Baker and others. That magically disappeared after the assassination. One bullet to the head and all these powerful groups immediately get what they want. We reversed course and escalated Vietnam, the oil depletion allowance was not reduced, Hoover was allowed to stay on at the FBI and avoid mandatory retirement, the CIA maintained its power, and LBJ got the ultimate political position instead of going to jail. Hmmmmmmm
In my opinion, Oswald was a kid doing what he was told by his intelligence agency handlers (George de Mohrenschildt was one). He thought he was doing something to benefit the country. But he was a yes man, which made him the perfect setup guy. Really sad. Everyone not in positions of power that were connected to the assassination was killed in the months/years following it. But yet it was a lone nut that did it.
