On this day 57 years ago Jack Ruby shot and mortally wounded Lee Harvey Oswald as he was being escorted through the basement of Dallas Police Headquarters.

The muscles flinch as the body falls in the direction of the trajectory of the bullet. Of course it depends on the caliber of the bullet as well.

I’m 100% certain that Oswald shot him, but I think the story that Frank Sheeran food is probably true. He said that Hoffa and Traficante had JFK killed so that Bobby would no longer be AG and the heat would come off of Hoffa and the mob. Oswald was a nut they found and out up to the job. He was supposed to be killed by the fake cops or cops on the take immediately after, but he was a bit smarter than they thought. Ruby killed him because as the Traficante representative in Dallas his arse was in a sling and he would have been killed had he not done it.
Sheeran detailed other instances where lone nuts were used by the mob to make high profile hits and then these nuts would be immediately killed. It might also explain why J.D. Tippets was shot by Oswald.

THe life magazine piece about LBJ that was going to drop would have destroyed his career. On the other hand, Bobby Kennedy wanted a weak veep so he could run in 1968 My guess is Kennedy would have dumped LBJ in 1964 for a Veep not planning to run in 1968, not sure who but that gives LBJ a big motivation + he was a bad dude

I'm not saying LBJ couldn't have or didn't have any knowledge of any plot. I am saying that he is (allegedly) who a group of the Bosses wanted to back for President and they were dissuaded by other Bosses (specifically Chicago and some high level guys in NYC) to agree, at least tacitly, on the JFK election because they honestly thought that they could control him (given their prior lucrative dealings with his father). I propose that all would have been well and JFK would have adequately repayed the favor had it not been for Bobby running wild after all of the gangsters.
Supposedly Sinatra (who's mom was big in the promotion and campgaingin of the democrat party in NJ and NY for many years) went all out helping to campaign for him and what not, even building a landing strip at one of his houses so JFK could secretly come visit, and after he was elected he wouldn't have anything to do with Sinatra and Sinatra never voted democrat again. (whether this is 100% accurate idk, but conspiracy theories are fun).
Edit: Not sure why JFK is regarded as such a pillar of equity and democracy, the man (and his brother) were banging hookers like it was going out of style and he even shared some girlfriends with Sam Giancana and Sinatra.
