Ok, trying to remember some of the history there. I was thinking an old creosote plant was just up river from the bridge that caused pollution.

Wonder what trucking companies will do about that large truck rate. I’m guessing have some deals in place. Also seems like this will cause more traffic on 210 once completed.

I don't remember what caused it but the lake was 100% a cesspool of contamination in the 80s. I was a kid then but from the 90's on they started cleaning it up and I remember years ago it was news that the lake was no longer contaminated.

No doubt the contamination washed out to the Gulf via the Calcasieu River

Imagine paying a toll to get back to Louisiana, kicking a man when he’s down.
Are you under the impression that the bridge is at the border?

They can’t. Tolls on federal interstates are prohibited. Excepted where they are not prohibited. Which is in some places. But not all places. Though most places. Especially places that it has been requested to be permitted.

Like Chicago. Where every square inch of interstate in around Chicago is a god damn toll road

Doesn't Spook Stream live in Nashville now?

They have a lot of money but I don't see them as big political spenders like Boysie Bollinger or Canizaro.

He's all over. He's been opening resorts in Mexico left and right too but still protects that land bank monopoly

The toll proposed is for 2023 dollars. It can be adjusted over time based on the Consumer Price Index. How much you think those numbers will change 8 years from now once it opens?

Trillions of dollars appropriated for Bidens "build back better" infrastructure plan yet this bridge must be paid for by tolls.
