My bad. I thought I remember you talking about it once a twice, maybe it was just you calling women out on how ridiculous it is.

No worries I'm whiny at times because of my gender....not because I have some supposed "condition"

Alcohol is definitely a stimulant to me. I wouldn't be able to easily stay up until 9 or 10 the next morning if I wasn't drinking. As soon as I stop, I get tired.

A lot of cpap pts could get off of it if they lost some weight. However there are also a lot of pts who are fit as well and there is nothing they can do about it.

I'd find a new doctor if I was you. Did he get his degree from Southern?

Also, if you need any evidence that Low T is real, go check out the Poli Board or turn on CNN.

My mom has fibromyalgia and it's very real and very debilitating. I wouldn't wish it on anybody. Those that claim to have it so they can abuse drugs or whatever make it difficult for the ones that have actual severe cases of it to get real treatment. They just get sterotyped and wrote off as another junkie.

Restless Leg Syndrome

I was hoping this was finally going away as a bullshite disease. Having had it for 15 years and a family history of it I've surmised that some chemicals in my brain get fricked up. It's not my legs though. It's my entire body that goes into hyperdrive. Some meds like Benadryl throw me into an attack within minutes. I've taken every Parkinsons med ( mirapex, requip etc) and nothing works. I'll stay up for 4-6 days straight with 0 sleep. It's life altering and debilitating. It comes with massive anxiety that can only be described as crushing. The only med that knocks it out and allows me relief is oxycodone and then I'm looked at like a Damn druggie when I go to the pharmacy or er or another doctor. I can take 2 oxycodone and the symptoms are gone within 2 hours. Thank God the govt is now telling me I can't have opiates anymore. Back to the old days of wanting to eat a bullet day 3. Yayy

This post is absolute proof of the level of retardedness that is prominent in so many TD posters. According to you posters on here, scientific gain ended 25 years ago and anything not well established when you were a child is false. frick you are stupid! Its god damn embarrassing.

Most of you posters on here should be taken out to the countryside and have a single bullet put in the back of your head......so that you can't breed anymore or influence children.

You sho' is angry. Again, I'm not saying these conditions are not real, just that they're very over-diagnosed. There is research and academic studies out there on the subject, but I figured people didn't want to read a true study.

Here's one for you baw: LINK

Not sure how this gets diagnosed, but it seems like a Dr would have to test multiple times over a few months before coming to a conclusion

You would think, yes. However, the number of Low T centers and the ease of getting put on therapy makes it a good candidate for being over diagnosed.

t's very real. You just haven't met anyone with an obvious enough case. I have it, but don't outwardly express it 24/7

I have no doubt that in extreme cases, it exists. I do have doubt of everyone who is on medication for it because it's extremely over diagnosed. Part of it is people not accepting they're not as intelligent or their kids are not intelligent and are pressure to perform. Societal pressures certainly lead to over diagnosis. LINK

Better to be safe than sorry IMHO

I understand the sentiment here, but if depression is overly diagnosed, it can be a self-fulfilling prophecy or even worse: the brain can become dependent on the medication used to treat it when it wasn't needed in the first place. We need better methods of detection and less societal pressure for a pill to fix everything.

What about Hypothyroidism? The symptoms seem more like a blanket diagnosis...

Fatigue
Increased sensitivity to cold
Constipation
Dry skin
Weight gain
Puffy face
Hoarseness
Muscle weakness
Elevated blood cholesterol level
Muscle aches, tenderness and stiffness
Pain, stiffness or swelling in your joints
Heavier than normal or irregular menstrual periods
Thinning hair
Slowed heart rate
Depression
Impaired memory

Is this really a thing?

Diet, working out, upping water intake, getting enough sleep

All of the above would solve our "healthcare crisis" that is 100% caused by people just being lazy.

Darth Vader claims to have something called "heart disease".

He even goes as far to claim it kills him once a month or so.

doctors are arrogant.

You'd think that a profession with such a sketchy track record the first 1,000 years would be a little more humble. I mean up until antibiotics, the whole field was a net harm to society.

The human body is an open system with thousands of processes and this without even knowing all of the variables. One should be a bit more cautious and humble.

sleep apnea is a quantitatively proven diagnosis. that's what sleep studies do...verify how many times you don't breathe per hour.
fibromyalgia on the other hand, is a wastebasket diagnosis

I actually got diagnosed with social anxiety, like a legit diagnosis from a professional, when I wasn't even going in to get tested for it.
I refuse to take medication for it though, because I'd rather deal with the symptoms than the side effects of the medicine.
