We’re #1
I want to point out that this includes history.
We are the most powerful, savage, economically advanced civilization man has even seen.
This was stamped by Winston Churchill himself when he saw us arrive. Once the Fed Reserve move was final bada bing bada boom.
Like magic.

I went to Egypt in 2010 and I remember seeing piles of garbage on the side of the street 10 feet high and the Nile was full of garbage.
Are the Egyptians in denial about the garbage in da Nile?

I have dealt with Chinese manufacturing (specifically fabricators) and anecdotally this was 100% my experience. Culturally they are order takers and do not think out of the box.
They've never had a single original design in modern times. All their gear is a mix of copies from Soviet/Russian gear, and western gear, and now they're mixing that stuff. They were licensing some things for awhile (one of their strike aircraft has licensed copies of the RR Spey engines), but a lot of times, they'll just steal designs outright.
McDonnell-Douglas did a deal with the Chinese to produce DC-9/MD8X aircraft in China, on the promise that the Chinese would buy a lot for their airlines.
They bought two.
The deal put MD in trouble, they had to merge with Boeing, and China got the factory and tooling. 10 years later, they started production on their "completely domestically designed" ARJ21 airliner.
MD-8X

ARJ211

If that flew over me, I'd call it an MD right away.

I love how many of India's population treat their so-called "Holy River" by severely polluting it to the point it is nothing short of a running cesspool.

So we shut down coal plants - a meaningless "cure" given the amount of coal pollution elsewhere in the world.
We could save a shite ton of money and air pollution by converting dirty plants in some of these countries. It would cost less than all the government forced initiatives.

I would be curious to see the other end of the list. What are the best 20 countries I wonder?

All of those people in those countries wipe their arse with their fingers I heard. It follows that the rest of the country is polluted.

I had respiratory issues last year in U.A.E. for the first few months I was there. It’s worse in the summer months than winter. You may see the sun and sky once a month during summer.

UAE surprises me. It always seemed like a pretty clean country

There should be a law that no further environmental regulations can be passed here until all nations above us on that list come into compliance to our standards
