We agree the state is better off with your quick exit.

Who the hell drives Bourbon

I use to have to drive on it when I made deliveries in the quarter.

I'd pick LA1 if I was making the list.

Yep. Dark lived in Easley. Shoeless Joe is from that part of SC as well.

Tail of the Dragon is on the list. So is the Overseas Highway.

First, Tail of the Dragon is a store on US129. The Dragon is the nickname of the road. There are two stores at Deals Gap. Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort and the Tail of the Dragon. TotD obviously uses TotD on their merchandise. DGMR is the original store and just puts The Dragon on their merchandise. It's the one everyone associates with the Gap. TotD has Killboy though, so they won the internet wars.

Second, I wish they wouldn't say this one. It is more of an enthusiast road. Send the leaf peepers to the GSMNP or the Cherohala Skyway which is a prettier drive anyway.

Should've left Oklahoma completely off the list.

Can you guess what Louisiana's is before looking at the list?

It has to be I-49 to Shreveport.

The commentary about Kansas is the very definition of "damning with faint praise"..
I laughed.

I would have said the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway. World's longest continuous span over water, and second longest motorway. Boring drive but certainly an incredible road.

If Nevada's top road isn't the Strip, Louisiana's shouldn't be Bourbon St.

Bourbon is so out of place with the tone of this list. This list consists of very scenic drives. The PCH is the best road in California, the Overseas Hwy is the most scenic in Florida, to name a couple.
IMO, the author should have created 2 lists then: a top 50 most scenic, and a top 50 most "urban" or "iconic".

With that second list,
you could include the likes of Bourbon Street, Beale Street, Hollywood Blvd.(CA), Park Avenue (NY), etc.

Awful, I'm guessing this was a poorly researched project.

All kinds of wrong. Turrible.
