The Most Dangerous Event On Earth: The Isle of Man TT starts this weekend

Imagine the dumbest, most retarded, most insanely dangerous thing you can get your mind around.
And you still couldn't come up with the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Motorcycle Race. I dare you to even try.
Next week, several people will almost certainly die racing motorcycles on an island that is absolutely not suited for operating motorcycles. Especially not on narrow mountain roads. In the rain. And the fog. And high winds. And a public course.
Some factoids about "the race" as it is known by the idiots who live and die for this stupid shite.
256 riders have died in the race (including practice).
That's an average of over 2 riders per race since it's inception in 1907. (It hasn't been held every year due to various wars, pandemics, etc).
When it started it was a wide open 37 mile island loop gravel road course..with no barriers. Riders would be killed by hitting sheep. Or chickens. Or horses. Or pedestrians.
Some would simply vanish. Start the race and then straighten out a curve over an ocean cliff and never be seen again.
In modern times they at least close the course to traffic. But the race is not getting safer. In 2022 a total of 6 riders died.
There have only been two years when no professional riders died. 2012 and 2024. But both years riders got killed in the amateur portion of the race. So it's a good bet that at least a couple of guys will die this year. And every other year.
Here's a few clips of guys turning into ghosts at 200 mph.
So if you're some sort of trust fund baby, bored out of your skull, with an adrenile addiction, and with basically nothing to live for....the TT might be the race for you.
Cheers mates. To a bloody good week of racing!!!

I can’t imagine sitting on the side of the street like this dude …
I mean, look at what happens when they crash…

I thought the Baja 1000 was the craziest race of all time until I saw this race. Absolute insanity.

The guy crashes. And then 100 yards down the track his body is still tumbling at like 150 mph.

Those guys definitely have more balls than sense. I could never.

About half of the deaths are in domino effects. One of the most dangerous jobs is being a paramedic on the course. Many of them have been killed. And many riders get killed running into ambulances at the scene of earlier crashes.

This is crazy! They should do this once a year on the Natchez Trace.

This isn't nearly as dangerous as the Isle of Man TT, but I saw this on 60 mins the other night. Its called Indian Relay. Its like a horse race, but at three different areas on the track they have to jump off one horse and jump on the other horse.
The horse is still doing about 15 mph when they jump off and they run into people.
And the Indians named in Indian Relays. And the Indian man they were interviewing on the segment was a Kansas City Chiefs fan.. So who decided Indians should be called Native Americans? If you go to 47 seconds you can see when they make the exchange.

For some reason its crazy to see these guys wipe out and possibly die and the rider filming just catches another gear and continues on. Maybe morbidly but its one of the badasset things I've seen.

I thought this was going to be that cheese wheel race they just had. Those people equally nuts. My expat friend in England attended this year and sent some really fricked up footage.
Stand by for some stock footage-
