I think you can make an argument that having to start and stop a stopwatch as part of a study probably skewed the data towards longer results. I'd imagine the "unobserved" median would be lower than 5.4 minutes in most couples.
I will say this - someone who averages 33 seconds per session implies they have sessions where they finish both above and below that number. That is hard to fathom with any consistency, and this is coming from someone who is comfortably around the median myself.

A while back I noticed my time was down to sub 3 minutes.
I made an effort and regained some control.
If I haven't had it in a few days, five or under.
Usually 10-15.
If we're mad at each other, it can turn into a multiple session thing where I end up with a bruised pelvis and she can't walk straight.

I usually start doing multiplication in my head when i feel old boy start to crank. Helps me last a good extra 90 seconds
