Not at the moment, but the wife just came into the office and said she was going to get a facial, so maybe one of us is.

Its about once every 2 weeks after being married 15 years. I figure that is about average or better so I guess I can't complain too much.

No, baw, that shite ain't normal. But at least it's not only on anniversary dates and birthdays. I'd still address this with her if you're wanting it more.

I’m not going in circles with you and saying the same things over and over. There are more important things to discuss, like how I need to have grass.

Maybe because I’m not “ creepy”

When it's Girls' Night at the bar, I'll point you out and tell the entire girl group that there's a Creeper Peeper at my 10 o'clock and then when they all avoid you, I secretly pass you a note with my digits that says you look like a guy that may have several casseroles to share

To be fair, both probably need to make changes, not just her.

I agree. But that starts with a husband saying “why aren’t you having sex with me, wife?” And if all he gets is a shoulder shrug then there’s not a thing he can do.

Now, if she says “hey, I’m stressed and need some help around the house” and his response is “well maybe you only make me sandwiches on weekends”, then yeah, he’s earned his sexless marriage.

That’s the most manipulated verse in all of marriage related scripture.

I like how he can first try to shame or call me out (which I treated like a joke) but he definitely can’t take what he gives That quote looks a wee bit manipulative, on second read. Maybe that’s how he gets casseroles all the time.

And then you do the other female thing. You get your girlfriends involved. Like The View. But all the while, you never challenge the specific ideas that make you so agitated. Wouldn’t it be better to just say “ I disagree “ and then tell us your inferior and poorly thought out ideas?

There is a cultural issue going on. I think a lot of women are exhausted. They work full-time, some are the primary breadwinners, and they do most of the childcare and house chores too. Also, the emotional labor is a real thing. Coordinating doctor’s appointments/school stuff for the kids/family relationships, etc.

A lot of men feel like they do so much at home because they do more than their fathers did with the kids around the house. But the women still do more with house and kids than the men per studies, and work a fulltime job. Both members of the couple are exhausted and confused as to why they aren’t appreciated despite doing so much. Our modern society of having and doing so much requires 2 earners to keep up. Everyone’s tired, confused, and pissed off and a lot of the social support networks of the past have disintegrated.

lol. In !
But I’m taken. Off the market. In blissful love.
Still accepting casseroles on a platonic basis though. A man’s gotta eat.

Also- love you Aspy. Stop insulting a man who woves you.

my version of the Bible doesn’t specifically say sex - and what about verse 4?

You took all that waaaaay too seriously, dude. I just don’t want to post in circles.

Anyway, I’m learning about how I suck because I’m independent. And how I need grass. And I guess I have to learn to like cats other than orange cat and Sophie.
