just like any other employee and military member, federal employees can have two jobs. Work you 8 hours, then work another job. Happens all the time.

How is this any different than any other employee making passive income? Some of you are truly sad people.

Working 2 jobs does not jive with the stereotype of government workers being lazy fricks.

Most of them are lazy fricks, but I can’t knock anyone who has the hustle to work 2 jobs.

The government job is the passive income. Maybe you misunderstood.

i’m surprised most federal employees can hold down one job, much less two. this must be the few go-getters of the bunch.

The govt job, prior to January 20th required no effort or attendance.

You'd be wrong sport. It may vary agency to agency, but generally a simple form you give your supervisor, unless there is a potential conflict of interest (say you're a lawyer and going to practice law on the side or running for a political office), it's rubber-stamped and uploaded into your personnel file. Many folks do it, it is not a big deal at all. Most of these are uber/DoorDash type jobs, but I've also see realtors, real estate investors and retail stockers.

Some of the propaganda spouted by politicians on this topic is an outright lie. I heard one state that a certain agency HQ in DC only had a few people work in the office, like 3%. Problem is, that was a lie, I was in that particular HQ last summer and it was over 50% capacity at all times. Most employees on a a hybrid schedule, TW 5 days/work onsite 5 days per pay period (every two weeks).

If that is the case, it should be easy to prove, right?

Ok champ. You say I’m wrong and then agree that they submit a form. The government requires an outside employment form to be filled out for any other employment.
