I don't think nicholson is drivable right now past Brightside, especially in a car.

I drove from Gonzalez to Brightside on highway 30 at around 8:30 this morning and there wasn't any water on the road.

Husband just took 30 to Gardere about 30-45 min ago. That's right now the best bet from 10 into BR. Don't know how long that will be true with St. G getting the call to evacuate

Anyone know if LA30/ Nicholson from LSU Campus is open to Gonzales/I10 and passable to drive in a low car? Trying to get from LSU to NOLA and not familiar with this route.
What about crossing bridge and taking LA1 to HWY 70 and cross over river at Sunshine Bridge to get to I10?

I just witnessed this moron weaving in and out of traffic, turned the corner at college and had plowed into this fire truck

Not sure if the French Settlement question has been answered, but hopefully this helps. Crest will likely occur in the next 12 hours or so.
