Profit was fubar yesterday at 3:30, at least close to Barringer. Over by President is was still above water, but that was three feet ago on Claycut.

My parents live in Old Mill. Said that water got about 5 foot from his house. But now has receded and there's not even water in the street anymore.

No, on 870 they just said they are shutting it down because all they are doing is recirculating water.
with backwater flooding I imagine the pumps are basically useless

Ascension folks....
Parts of hwy 933 are about to be washed out. Was just on there and they have several spots under water with a serious current.

what exactly does that mean?

Nothing as the pumps weren't doing anything most likely

I hope she got out. Has at least a foot and a half in the house. That section was worse off yesterday than my street behind it closer to the bayou.

Not the case. They are saying the protection levee has been tipped and the pumps can no longer handle the situation. Very bad news for st amant.

it means all they are doing is pumping water from one flood to another

she has least a few feet of water in her house depending on how close she is to barringer. My mom is down from that area and the house is set a bit higher up the drive way and its got water up to the windows as of 2 hours ago.

With news that the pumps were shut down, they may want to hold on. Not sure what this does.

Roads are dry here in the Summerwood Subdivision off Burbank. Drains are partially filled with water. Thinking about leaving soon just to be safe.

exactly what it says... the pumps that push out the water are being shut down
with all the backflow... they're basically doing nothing useful

Duke--little bro got her out at 11 yesterday morning.
Would you expect six feet of water or so in the house?
