Not sure about Staring. Hasn't it been recently reconstructed? Someone on the ground in BR might know better.

'm not familiar with bayou manchac and when it crests which areas will be hit hardest. My sister lives off of old Perkins on edgewater. It's Right between bluff Rd. and Airline Hwy. in Prariville. Bayou Manchac isn't too far from them. Does that area have water now and/or is it expected to get water in the near future. Thanks in advance for any help. Id call her myself but AT&T shut that down.

I'm in that exact area. It is fine now and should be during the duration.

I would be extremely surprised to observe backward flow along Staring. Extremely surprised, yessiree.

You might be able to go Stumberg to Coursey and get through Hickory ridge in to that area. I had to go get my inlaws out that way this morning. Tiger bend is bad so avoid that.

I am at the condo complex just south of highland on bluebonnet
100 yard walking distance to Bayou Fountain
Just went look at it
Looks like it has about 3-5 feet until overflow
I am hoping and praying the back flow doesn't make it this far, but I am about to start prepping just in case
