I keep FB messaging my brother but the shithead ignores texts/FB messages 90% of the time anyway. And now he's dead asleep.

I'm pretty sure your providers won't bill you for overages during state of emergency.

@proximo

There now. Drains are filled to the brim, most flood zone areas have at least some water in them.

it's my understanding that we're basically playing russian roulette with the backwater around these parts.

I live in Mandeville. But I've read it's ok so far.

I used to live in Kenilworth. Any word on that part of town?

Can anyone tell me if the AMITE has crested in Denham? I'm on dry ground now (barely) but trying to decide whether to move again. No access to tv reports and have 3 small kids.

I just heard that water is receding in Bellingrath lakes in central back into the streets away from houses and toward the river. I am in Central near the Walmart and there has not been much water near here. Praying the rain holds off and the rivers crest

Walden the small sub at the end of kennilworth is flooded bad. People had to be evacuated. The pennington field and park across the street from it are flooded so bad people are kayaking and jumping off the bridge into the water. The neighborhood itself is holding up so far.

Cypress Drive will be at same flood stage, but most of those areas are pretty low, so I imagine that road is already impassable.Water prob came over bulkheads down there yesterday morning.

I use river-depth.com and their graph shows that Amite in Denham is at or very, very near its crest. Good luck to you.

I don't mean to be alarmist, but I don't think there's much anything completely safe in south-southeastern Baton Rouge right now.
