Your father is what ever father would want to do if the opportunity was available. Your dad felt helpless until that moment.

Your dad did the right thing.
That instuctor was a waste of space and resources.

Crazy thing is if he would have made it to Angola and the death penalty was his sentence. He would probably be still on death row.
The Supremes would be the reason for this. The US Supreme Court ruled that the death penalty for r*pe of a child is unconstitutional.

How was Geraldo?
I can't think of Geraldo now without seeing Jim Carrey's impression.

Serious question for you OP. Is this post cathartic for you? Its June 10, so the "anniversary" of your premier was a week ago. Why bring it up now? Is this part of a healing process? Is this a coping mechanism? Just seems odd to continuously relive such a horrific period in your life unless it is therapeutic.

Man I watched that live as your dad did what many dads would've done. He loves you and he proved it to become a hero and legend in one awesome moment!!
I was just showing a bunch of guys at work a couple of weeks ago how awesome that was and did it on live TV.
Thanks for sharing

I hate that you had to go through this.
Why did you guys decide to go public with it?

Almost every father in that situation would want to do it. A lot would talk about doing it, but only a tiny fraction of a percent have the balls to go through with it. RIP Gary Plauche, a man among men.

I have no doubt that if that had happened to myself or my brother my dad would've done the same thing without much of a second thought.
