No way near as memorable as his brother, The Macho Man Randy Savage, but he was an interesting guy. Enjoyed his interviews. Now both are gone.

Here he was talking about when Randy passed.

Here's my CSB about him.

In 1976, my brother and I were going to watch wresting at Rupp Arena.

We saw a van on the side of the road with a flat, my brother stopped. Standing around were a bunch of wrestlers including Lanny and Randy. They didn't have a tool to change the spare. My brother helped.

They let us go backstage and watch from behind the curtains where the wrestlers emerged from. Very fun. RIP to him, his brother and his father who was also a wrestler.

Poffo was fantastic in the role of "The Genius" in the WWF's glory days. He conveyed more with his eyes or a body movement than most guys could with words. I liked him best as Mr. Perfect's manager.

Damn so.. is someone gonna pour Lanny's ashes on the same spot?

Also.. reset the wrestler death clock.

I remember that as a kid finding out The Genius was Macho Man's real life brother and having my mind blown. It's crazy how much they stuck to kayfabe and Lanny was a great heel.

Now he's with his brother cutting some sick arse promo like it's 1988. RIP Genius.

Have they released a cause of death?

Trying not to be crude, but Lanny was apparently known for the ability to do certain acts and him dying in the process would be a specific comedy film come to life.

Lanny wasn’t a steroid guy. He was about as big around as a matchstick.
