is it self-inflicted flu? Did you get the shot and give it to yourself or did you just catch it ?

I’m hoping this is sarcasm, but my detector seems to be malfunctioning this morning.

You can’t get the flu from the flu shot. How many times do we have to go over this?

You are correct. But you can feel bad with a febrile reaction to the shot as your body gears up making the appropriate antibodies.

If I’ve had it over the last 20 years, I haven’t given into it.

I stayed home from work one day about 8 years ago with the Tampico Trots, from Mexican Restaurant food poisoning and I could have gone in around Noon but didn’t, other than that I’ve got perfect attendance since in the ‘90s.

tl/dr: Push through that shite.

People experiencing this don't feel as bad as having the flu.

You might be a little tired and a tinge warm for a day at the worst.

I got it this year, turned into pneumonia in both lungs. It’s been HORRIBLE.

Correct.

And the shot cannot protect you from the flu.

Heard on national radio news earlier in the week, the largest current outbreak of flu is centered in NOLA.

So all NOLA and BR folks better get shot, and I ain't talking the usual popping a cap kind.

Went to Puerto Vallarta about a month ago and got pneumonia of all things and that was no picnic. I haven’t had a fever in forever and forgot how shitty it feels the older we get. I’d imagine the flu is pretty unpleasant.

get the two vaccinations.

There are couple dozen pneumonia variants.
They bundle a dozen in each shot.

We are all a little different.
My housemate has had pnuemonia two or three times.

Me, never.
I got bundle1 shot 10 years ago.

The last two years I have.

Never before that.

No noticeable difference but obviously I can’t prove the negative since I’ve had the flu shot.

This is the way I figure it. 62 seasons, two flu shots, two cases of flu following the shots. 60 years no flu shot,60 years no flu. I’ll keep running without the shot.
