try to avoid Latoya’s eutopia most of the time. But took the kids to City Park today. Masks everywhere. Sat down outside to eat at Cafe du Monde and dumb libs were quite literally eating beignets with masks on, lowering them to take bites. My oldest son pointed it out to me and said “it looks hard to eat like that”. I thought it was 2019 again. People jogging with masks on as well. We all have our own individual situations so maybe they had good reason, who knows. But there was a stark difference in the city from the last time I was there.

Why do you care what other adults do when it shouldn’t affect how you live your life.

Probably upset them wearing a mask made him have to talk to his son.

It does hit other's lives as other feel the need to tell others what to put on their face.

How about this: if we want to get more normal, anti-covid people need to start by stopping thinking about how harmed you are 24/7.

explain how this has anything to do with public policy

People try to tell people to do dumb shite all the time. Say no and move on with your life

Just like people shouldn’t look down on you for not wearing a mask, you should let them do what they want.

If you let them alter your life, that’s on you, not them.

Wearing a mask outside in NOLA has 0 to do with public policy. So you should take your own advice.

Lol I’m not talking about public policy! I’m talking about stupid, sensitive conservatives to make the rest of us look stupid. I expect liberals to be loud and stupid… so when they are, it’s all aligned.

I’d like to think that conservatives should be above being loud and stupid. We should be too good for that. And we used to be. Used to laugh at liberals who were so triggered and soft. And now the most vocal conservatives are just as triggered and soft. God help you if you’re triggered by other people wearing a mask as if you’ve been wronged.

You probably mask up in your car when alone.

That’s a negative, ghostrider.

I wear a mask inside private businesses that require it and any public buildings that enforce it. Other than that, I’m perfectly comfortable going anywhere sans mask.

I just don’t see why other people wearing masks outside and not bothering the OP is a big deal. That’s their business.

No, not a child visitation. I have full custody of my kids, I’m married. Why is that important?

I live on the northshore but commute to Nola almost daily. It’s like 2 different worlds. When I’m shopping at home or going to restaurants hardly anyone outside of employees ever has a mask on. Never see people in their car wearing a mask. In NOLA more than half of the people I see walking OUTSIDE have a mask on. It’s laughable how many people I see wearing a mask alone in their car. You would think if masks worked the data would show St Tammany is way harder hit by Covid than New Orleans but it doesn’t of course.

Looking at Delta data it showed this.

I wouldn't credit magic masks, more a combination of all barriers put in place. Also prior infections.

Wow. So a bunch of people were doing something that caused you absolutely no harm whatsoever and you were this upset by it?

I’m so glad you made it out alive and were able to share your story. You are brave.

This post reveals the solution. This guy is trying to defend it, but is embarrassed to admit he supports the mask wearing. So, instead, he deflects and tries to turn this into you being the bad guy.

You have to point and laugh at these people...out loud.

For some reason I pictured you upset at the ex and taking it out on your kids by screaming about masked yoggers.
