The doctors (and everyone else) actually forgot about me in the little exam room

I was actually forgotten about after being taken to the little room at the doctor's office, and I had to leave my room to go find somebody. They were at least honest about it and apologized.
2+ hours for a damn strep test.
Insane. Has this happened to anybody else?
ETA: The whole 2 hours weren't spent in the room. You have to remember the amount of time it takes to get from the front door to the little room. I waited about 30 minutes before going to find somebody.

I like how Drs offices are so busy you always have to wait, yet an occupied room goes unnoticed for 2+ hours. Mystifying.

Happened to me not long ago.
Had I not gone out looking I think they would have locked me in the building.
My doctor had already left...

I give doctors no more than 20 minutes. It's not my fault that they have trouble scheduling correctly (some of it isn't their fault of course).

just call your old college roomie the doctor, tell him you have strep, and get him to call you in a Rx.
