If they are actually pouring gasoline on people that's over the line.

This doesn't make sense to me. Are you going to kick out the people that don't want to get tortured?

Potentially yes. And they would be quitting themselves, not being kicked out. If they came back the next day I’m sure they could be taken back in (probably with a vote from the fellow pledges).

My point was that the goal of hazing is to see how committed the guys are, but not to actually take it that far. You’re trying to weed out the people that crack under pressure, not who can handle physical torture.

Ok bro. I’m FAF and can straight up tell you this is bullshite. Hazing is just a way for weak people to try to “establish dominance”. It’s pointless and has no place in the Greek system.

That's bullshite. You even said torture is over the line. If so, you don't fake torture to see what dumbasses are cool with it. You don't even have the scenario.

I’ve yet to hear a good reason why fraternities are a net positive on campus, especially in 2019. No reason for them to get special privileges from the university.

How could anyone be a DKE alumni and reference it as Delta Kappa Sigma?

Why is any extracurricular organization a net positive?

Why are sports a net positive?

They are all part of the college experience.

This logic is semi retarded. Joining DKE is an option too. You can avoid being hazed “by simply not being a part of that”.

They should get rid of the Greek system, seems like every year they frick up

Shouldn't they just close down the University?

" you can't hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole fraternity system? And if the whole fraternity system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, Greg - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but I for one am not going to stand here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America."

How does that logic not apply to DKE itself?

Serious hazing, forcing drinking to the point of death trashing campus spots, making offensive signs shouldn’t be “part of the the college experience”
