I remember one crisp evening enjoying a fall drive with my family. I just happened to look over at a house on the avenue, which was open and lit up for anyone to see. Inside was a rotund, middle-aged lady in a housecoat, relaxing back in a recliner. Draped around her neck, like a brown feather boa, was a small dog.

Hoover Dam.

Saw it and thought to myself “well I’ll be damned.”

My parents house, when i was a kid, was behind hotel...i saw various weird things. Lots of lunch time trysts. Saw a naked man dragging a naked woman by the hair, out of one room into adjacent room...while another naked man was out cold in the first room. The oddest thing was...somebody OD'd in the hotel pool and helicopter came in and landed in the c parking lot. Watching the proceedings and...a vw bug (well on the other side of the building) backs out of its parking spot...then proceeds to role down the parking lot..makes a right hand turn and rolls another 60 yards right into the tail rotor of the helicopter ..backed out of its spot made the adjustment to head down parking lot turn right...and no one was in the car. Saw it in the whole way, no one was ever in that car

Similar thing happened to me at Grand Central Station in NYC. Was waiting to catch a subway and saw the sign that said where I was...so I paused, looked around, and said to my friends "it's like Grand Central Station around here". One got it, the other had no idea.

No one believes this, but when I was in NYC someone actually came up to me on the street and asked me, "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?"

I replied "Practice, man, practice" and walked away

I like to think he laughed

On a convoy in Thailand we passed a Chevy luv pickup truk with no less than 20 monks standing in the back, a guy walking an elephant with about a 5 foot piece of rope, an overturned truck in a roundabout that spilled watermelons causing the worst traffic I’ve ever seen and as we pulled up to our training site the fattest most naked Asian woman i’ve ever seen outside in the middle of the day.

All of this happened in about a mile long stretch.
