can you explain how him replacing someone after he took over has anything to do with a tax expiring before he took over?

It's just a last name. Paul is a hard worker and fairly well respected around town. Some Abrusleys have their hands in everything. Paul is not like that. David and Paul are technically related as Vidrine's mom was an Abrusley. David is tight with Luke Abrusley and that side of the family. You have to have lived there to understand.

I never said it did. That's not the only issue going on there. I've heard everything has been a disaster at City Hall for weeks. Vidrine said his budgets aren't matching balances. That should show you what kind of issues they are having.
