I never said it did. That's not the only issue going on there. I've heard everything has been a disaster at City Hall for weeks. Vidrine said his budgets aren't matching balances. That should show you what kind of issues they are having.

David made a huge mistake replacing Paul Abrusley as the City Clerk. They finally had a good accountant in that role, and David let him go, probably because Paul ran against him in the mayor's race. He resolved all the city's longstanding accounting problems (including many issues left over from Lisa Schaefer), and from what I understand, the auditors were pretty much thrilled with him. Everyone looked to Paul at the city. Instead, his ego got in the way, and he dismissed Paul in favor of someone who has no idea what they're doing, leaving the city's finances in disarray. It was such a foolish and naive decision to let go of the one person who understood how things worked. It numbs my brain just thinking about it. Now, you have nobody up there who has a clue what they're doing now.
