You need to become an upper class home owner. It's fricking excellent.

Sounds like a guy stuck in traffic rather than knowing another route out of St Bernard.

In his defense, there aren't any unaffected routes out.

But the rain is over so you can hang at the office for an extra half hour and dick around on TD until the "pumps catch up" and traffic clears

I was in Nola this weekend. The biggest group of people I ran into that sucked were Philadelphia Eagles fans.

New Orleans certainly has its issues. But let’s be clear, without it, Louisiana is basically Mississippi or Alabama. A couple of decent metropolitans that overall aren’t desirable for someone to move to or even visit unless they grew up in the state. No one outside of LA thinks of Laffy, Monroe, Alexandria, Shreveport or even Baton Rouge as places you’d visit (besides for a game). Aside from New Orleans architectural charm, food, music, party atmosphere, etc Louisiana has 0 other redeeming qualities.

which brings me to another point- most of the people, many in family, that really hate New Orleans are from small little shitty Louisiana towns.

Again, New Orleans has a lot of issues. I know this. But LA needs New Orleans Imo.

This website loves to hate Louisiana. It’s unreal

Fixed it for you.

Lots of out of state people who love to come to this Louisiana website to bash and troll Louisiana and the administration is too afraid to do anything about it.

BR > Nola

I'm from the BR metro and think it gets too much hate on here and but this isn't true.

BR used to be a safer, more family oriented city decades ago but it has most of the problems Nola has now and very few positives. It has Top Golf, isn't built in a giant bowl and LSU. Otherwise Nola is better.

Had to go out to Metairie, which I can’t stand as well. Fought metairie traffic on the way home. Got to the ninth ward and got stuck there for 2 hours. What a mess. Over 3 hours to get from Metairie to St. Bernard.

I love Louisiana. But only because I grew up in Louisiana and my family is here. Let’s not act as if admins should ban people for pointing out obvious flaws with the state. It’s a fricking mess in so many ways.

Took me nearly an hour and a half to get from downtown to the garden district. What a shite show.

This.

NOLA can be a real shithole at (most?) times.

That being said, I'd rather live in NOLA than anywhere else in this state. If I ever move out of NOLA I'm moving to a different state.

Was there this weekend, looked over to see a person pissing right in middle of the street. Looked at my wife and told her how thankful I was that we didn’t live in New Orleans.
